Welcome! before get to the fun part, I want to ask you this question.

Should advertisements be trustworthy?

❋ Advertising is an important element we need in our lives. Within the marketing industry, there is a big question.

❋ Advertisements can be seen on a daily basis wherever you go, whether it’s in a public spaces, magazines, newspapers, even on televisions. I personally think that advertising is made based on truthful information. If the advertisement is based on wrong information, then that is not an advertisement.

That can be weapon for anyone.

However, deception is not always bad and harm; like a phrase “Good lie is Kind lie.” If making ads based on the criticizing other brands or products to support our world to know the truth, then that can be another accomplished advertisement.

❋ The ultimate objective for this project is to have people ask themselves: “Do you think the advertisements that you see every day are trustworthy?” I will introduce people to a SPOOF Advertising world. It is my hope to inspire critical thinking and responsible questioning of the advertising we see every day.

❋ Concept for this project was to design spoof advertisements to illustrate major falsehoods that are often seen in today’s advertisements. These spoofs are be based on existing brands.

❋ These will not be a deep concept advertising that will seriously bust or expose certain brands. Want to use word, satire and want viewers to enjoy like a gallery.

❋ The take away from this project is meant to be open ended and subject to the viewer’s interpretation.

❋ For Visuals I designed the spoof advertisements in my own style. Using my passion for sculpture and wood working, I made 3-dimensional art pieces instead of digital prints.

❋ Opened an art gallery using pop colors and also used technology (AR) to support message delivery and interact with the audiences.

❋ To illustrate the reality of anti-advertising, I realized that they have a lot in common with the culture of street art (Graffiti). Therefore, I decided to design a brand system focused and highlighted the background of anti-advertising.

❋ Contingency plan to submit to the committees.

❋ After setting the contingency plans, created a Gantt chart for more clear time management. Chose to create a Gantt chart was to graphically communicate with mentors and representation of activity against time. Since it is an individual work, I needed to manage time well to not fail and achieve my bachelor degree.

❋ There will be 3 large (37” X 29”) and 2 small (13” X 9”) art pieces. For AR interaction, I used C4D to design them in 3 dimensions and with a help of my mentor, we input them into Unreal engine to create an augmented reality.

❋ For my booth I will be hanging 5 art works on the wall and interactive tablet will be placed right below the artwork.

❋ Laser cutting was the best solution for shaping and carving the wood with a polished quality.
